Through the Red Veil

This series is a deeply personal exploration of human emotion, expressed through the raw power of red and the quiet depth of black. Each portrait captures not just a face, but a feeling, moments of strength, vulnerability, longing, and resilience, all conveyed through bold, intentional brush strokes.

The minimal color palette allows me to focus on expression, form, and texture, stripping away distractions to reveal the essence of each subject. The red breathes life and intensity, while the black holds memory, silence, and shadow. Together, they speak of untold stories and lived experiences, sometimes loud, sometimes almost whispered.

Inspired by people I’ve seen, known, or imagined, these portraits are not about likeness, but presence. They are emotional mirrors, inviting the viewer to not just look at a face, but to feel it.
